What We Can Offer
Brain Gears Psychological Services emerged from Dr. Marie Filion's commitment to helping clients who had struggled with mental health challenges despite years of conventional therapy. Drawing on neuropsychological principles, Dr. Filion developed an integrative approach that guides clients to acknowledge and process their emotions rather than avoid or be overwhelmed by them. This innovative methodology offers a transformative journey toward emotional regulation and psychological well-being.
Our society has normalized anxiety as an inevitable aspect of modern life rather than actively pursuing innovative approaches to transform mental health treatment. Instead of merely managing symptoms, we should be pioneering comprehensive solutions that guide individuals from psychological distress toward sustainable well-being and emotional resilience.
Clinical applications of EIT over the past two years have consistently demonstrated significant improvements in patients, including reduced neurotic symptoms and enhanced overall wellbeing.
In-house clinical research shows that our emotional integration approach, which addresses both horizontal and lateral processing pathways, delivers superior outcomes compared to traditional CBT methods.
Join us on this transformative journey and discover the true power of emotional integration. Your healing begins here.

Asked Questions
Your Questions About EIT, Answered
Considering a new approach to mental health? You’re not alone in wanting to understand exactly what you’re getting into. These are the questions we hear most often from people like you who are ready to take the next step in their healing journey.
Proven Results You Can Trust
Our approach shows remarkable effectiveness, with nearly 90% of clients who complete the full program experiencing significant improvement—particularly those without complex trauma histories.
For individuals with trauma, EIT serves as an excellent foundation for deeper healing work. By first addressing underlying mental health challenges like anxiety and depression, we clear the path for more focused trauma therapy to be truly effective. Many clients find that resolving these foundational issues makes their subsequent trauma work more productive and lasting.
This integrated approach recognizes that successful trauma healing often requires stable mental health as a starting point—and that’s exactly what EIT helps you achieve.
Grounded in Science, Not New Age Philosophy
EIT is firmly rooted in established neuropsychological research and evidence-based practices. Rather than relying on spiritual or mystical concepts, this method uses scientific understanding of how your brain works to guide your healing journey.
The goal is practical and measurable: reducing your symptoms to normal, manageable levels—the kind of everyday stress and emotional ups and downs that are simply part of being human. Instead of eliminating all challenges from life, EIT helps you develop the tools to navigate them with resilience and wellbeing.
Timeline for Your Transformation
Your journey from mental health struggles to wellbeing is unique to you, but most clients see initial change within two weeks and dramatic improvements within two months when they actively engage with the method. The key factor isn’t time—it’s your commitment to putting the techniques into practice.
Our experienced coaches will work alongside you throughout this process, tracking your progress and adjusting the approach as needed. They’re there to ensure you’re getting the most out of each module and to support you through any challenges that arise.
What matters most is not how quickly you progress, but that you progress consistently toward your goal of achieving normal, healthy levels of anxiety and mood.
Expert Coaches Who Understand Your Journey
Absolutely. Our coaches are extensively trained in both professional coaching techniques and the specific EIT methodology. We maintain the highest standards through weekly team meetings where we:
- Collaborate on client progress and challenges
- Refine our approach based on real-world results
- Share powerful client stories that illuminate key concepts
- Develop new ways to explain complex neuropsychological principles
This means your coach brings not only their own expertise but also insights from our entire team’s collective experience. They have a rich library of client success stories and practical examples to help you understand exactly how EIT concepts apply to your specific situation.
When you work with us, you’re not just getting one coach—you’re benefiting from our whole team’s knowledge and dedication to your success.

Scoring Instructions
Total Score Calculation: Add up your responses to all 20 items. Your total score will range from 20 to 100.
Score Interpretation:
20-25%: Very Low Neuroticism – High emotional stability
26-30%: Low Neuroticism – Generally emotionally stable
30-50%: Moderate Neuroticism – Heightened emotional reactivity – beginning to feel anxiety regularly. Classified as silent anxiety as it will seem to come out of no where when the conditions are right and then can go back under the surface when your environment is calm again.
51-60%: High Neuroticism – Elevated emotional sensitivity
61-80%: Very High Neuroticism – Significant emotional instability
81-100%: Extremely High Neuroticism – Chronic emotional instability
Important Notes
Clinical Disclaimer: This assessment is for educational and self-reflection purposes only. It is not a diagnostic tool and should not replace professional psychological evaluation. If you scored high and are experiencing significant distress, consider consulting a licensed mental health professional.
Validity Considerations: This scale draws from established neuroticism research but has not undergone full psychometric validation. Results should be interpreted cautiously and in conjunction with other self-assessment tools.
Theoretical Foundation
This assessment is based on the neuroticism dimension of the Big Five personality model, which represents individual differences in emotional stability versus emotional reactivity. The items assess the six primary facets of neuroticism identified in personality research:
Anxiety – Tendency to worry and feel anxious
Angry Hostility – Tendency toward irritability and anger
Depression – Proneness to sadness and hopelessness
Self-Consciousness – Social anxiety and embarrassment
Impulsiveness – Difficulty controlling desires and urges
Vulnerability – Susceptibility to stress and poor coping
